An indicator of U.S. economic activity jumped in June, widely surpassing analyst expectations and suggesting a stronger economic outlook.

McKinney, TX Residential Sales Report for June
Single-Family:
Sales were flat in June as compared to last year. The average sales price increased 14% as did the median sales price. Pending sales experienced a 23% decline. not sure why this occurred. The number of new listings fell 18% and the active listings dropped 18%. The months of inventory declined to 1.4 months.

Leases:
Leases declined by 14%. The average rent rose 9% and the median rent was up by 6%. Pending leases jumped 103%. The number of new listings dropped by 3% and the active listings fell by 23%. The months of inventory declined to 0.9 months.

Chaotic Moon, an Austin tech company with big plans for Dallas, has been sold to consulting giant Accenture, the companies said this morning. Terms were not disclosed.
The deal could be a boon for Dallas, because it will accelerate Chaotic Moon’s plans for a major office here and introduce the company to Accenture’s many local clients. Chaotic Moon is already hiring tech workers in Dallas and plans to ramp up to 250 employees within three years

As anyone looking for a house in Dallas-Fort Worth right now can tell you, the real estate market here is red hot. And according to a new study by WalletHub, the suburbs surrounding Dallas are some of the best cities in the country for first-time buyers.
