Dallas Area Residential Sales Report - A Look Back at 2017
Another Record Year in Single-Family Home Sales!
Single-Family home sales increased 6% year over year taking out last years record homes sales. New record average sales prices and median sales prices also occurred. The average price rose 8% while the median price climbed 9%. Pending sales increases by 4%. The number of new listings expanded by 7%. The active listings came in up 8% year over year.
The hot spot in the market was sales between $200.000 and $400,000. This price range represented about 50% of all sales. Sales of homes over $1,000,000 increased 21% while sales under $180,000 declined due to a extream shortage of supply.
