Carrollton/Farmers Branch Residential Sales Report for May
Sales were off the charts!
Buyers were out in full force in May with sales up 23%. The averages sales price rose 13% as compared to last May while the median sales price increased 15%. Sales prices continue their upward march helped in part by the extreme shortage of homes available in the lower price ranges. Pending sales increased by 8%. We also saw a healthy rise of 22% in the number of new listings. Active listings climbed 27% and this pushed the months of inventory up to 1.9 months. With 6 months normally considered a balanced market, we are very much tilted to the Sellers side.
