Dallas Area Residential Sales Report for December - Far North Dallas





Sales slowed a little in December coming in at down 7%. The average sales price jumped 36% while the median sales price rose 22%. Those numbers are out of whack due to a substantial number of sales that occurred in the upper price ranges. Pending sales also showed a decline. down 5%. The number of new listings increased by 7%. Active listings climbed 22%. Unfortunately, if you are a buyer, the months of inventory only increased to 2 months. With 6 months considered a balanced market, we are defiantly tilted to the seller's side.
